Korean table tennis star Shin Yoo-bin (copyright) advanced to the round of 16 in the women's singles at the World Table Tennis (WTT) Singapore Smash 2025.
World No. 9 Shin Yu-bin defeated world No. 89 Adina Diaconu of Romania with a game score of 3-0 (11-6 13-11 11-8) in the round of 32 women's singles in Singapore on the 5th.
Shin Yoo-bin, who did not even lose a game against world No. 26 Jeon Ji-hee in the round of 64, also made it to the round of 16 with a clean sweep in the match.
On the 6th, Shin Yu-bin will compete with Heo Ji-ja (China), who is ranked 30th in the world, to advance to the quarterfinals.
In the mixed doubles with Cho Dae-sung (Samsung Life Insurance), he was eliminated.
World No. 43 Cho Dae-sung and Shin Yu-bin were completely defeated by world No. 3 Linxung-Kwaiman (China) group 0-3 (4-114-118-11) in the quarterfinals of the mixed doubles.
Cho Dae-sung and Shin Yu-bin formed a duo in this competition following the World Cup of the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) mixed group last November and WTT star contender Doha last month, but stopped at the quarterfinals.
Cho Dae-sung and Shin Yu-bin lost five consecutive points in the first and second games, continuing their disappointing trend. It was fatal that they failed to score points in chances to serve.
In the third game, they once trailed 7-9 by two points, but failed to turn the tables and eventually lost.
Ahn Jae-hyun (Korea Exchange) succeeded in advancing to the round of 16 in the men's singles, but was eliminated in the round of 16 in the men's doubles, in which he worked with Lim Jong-hoon (Korea Exchange). 스포츠토토
